Meet the doctor

Maliha Fatima, DMD, MS

Born in India, Dr. Fatima moved to the United States when she was 10 years old and grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In addition to spending time with her son and husband, Dr. Fatima loves to read, travel, hike, work out at the gym, and ride her Peloton bike. She enjoys teaching, and during her undergraduate education, she was a lab assistant for organic chemistry and a tutor for math and science classes.

Experience

After working as a general dentist for several years, Dr. Fatima returned to the University of Florida College of Dentistry to specialize in periodontics. As a periodontist, Dr. Fatima firmly believes in treating periodontal disease and achieving a healthy oral environment. Being a periodontist also means being a specialist in implants, and when a tooth cannot be saved, it can be replaced with an implant.

Alvaro Yuen Ye, DMD

Throughout his dental career, Dr. Yuen Ye has participated in many community outreach programs, providing services to those with limited access to dental care through clinics such as the We Care Clinic at Santa Fe and the FreeD.O.M. Clinic. In his spare time, Dr. Yuen Ye enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling.

Experience

Dr. Yuen Ye has completed advanced training in Invisalign® treatment and Hiossen® Implants. He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Florida Dental Association (FDA), and the South Florida District Dental Association (SFDDA).
